Booking a one-way flight on Computicket is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to secure your ticket with ease:
### Step 1: Start Your Search
Begin by visiting the flights homepage on Computicket. Make sure to select "One Way" at the top of the page. Enter your departure city or airport, your destination, and the desired departure date. Specify the number of passengers and their types (Adult, Child, Infant). Choose your preferred cabin class, such as Economy or Business, and indicate how many stops you are willing to accept (e.g., Any number of stops). Once all fields are filled out, click on "Search Flight Tickets" to view available options. This initial search sets the foundation for your journey, ensuring you find the best flight that fits your schedule and budget.
### Step 2: Review Flight Options
On the results page, you will see a 5-day price calendar at the top, allowing you to explore flight prices for different dates. Smart Recommendations highlight the Best Price (the lowest fare) and the Fastest Journey (the shortest flight time). Below, you’ll find a comprehensive list of available flights, detailing the airline, flight type (Direct/Nonstop), departure and arrival times, flight duration, stops, and cabin class. Utilize the Filters panel on the left to refine your search by airline or departure time, and click "Select Flight" on your preferred option. This helps you make an informed choice based on your travel preferences.
### Step 3: Choose Your Fare Type
Once you select a flight, a modal will appear showing available fare types. You can choose between "Cabin Bag Only," which is a lower-priced option with a R300 change fee plus fare difference, or "Standard," which includes 1x checked luggage up to 20kg and allows for 2x zero-fee changes (fare difference may apply). Select your desired option and click "Confirm Selection." Understanding the fare types ensures you select the best option for your travel needs.
### Step 4: Confirm Your Flight Reservation
A "Flight Reserved!" confirmation will pop up, displaying key details such as the airline, flight number, date, departure and arrival times, airport codes, flight duration, stop type, number of passengers, and total price including all taxes and fees. Note that the flight is held for 15 minutes, so you can either click "Continue to Passenger Details" to proceed or "Cancel Reservation" to go back. This brief hold allows you to finalize your decision without losing your selected flight.
### Step 5: Enter Passenger Details
Fill out the Flight Passenger Details form for each traveler, including Title, Name, Surname, Email Address (where booking confirmations and e-tickets will be sent), Mobile Number, Emergency Telephone Number, Identification Type (SA ID or Passport), ID number, and Date of Birth (the date of birth will auto-populate for SA IDs). The Flight Summary panel on the right will display your flight details and total price. Remember to check the Flight Travel Tips: arrive at least 2 hours before domestic flights, ensure all details match your ID or passport, keep your email confirmation handy, check the airline’s baggage policy, and complete online check-in if available. Click "Continue to Payment" when ready. Accurate passenger details are crucial for a smooth check-in experience.
### Step 6: Review Your Basket
The "Your Basket" page will show the airline, flight number, cabin class, and full departure and arrival details. The Order Summary on the right will confirm the number of flights, subtotal, total including all fees and taxes, and secure checkout. A countdown timer indicates how long your flight is held. Click "Proceed to Payment" when you’re ready to finalize your booking. This step ensures you double-check all your information before making a payment.
### Step 7: Complete the Checkout Process
On the Checkout page, fill in the Purchaser Information fields: Title, Name, Surname, Mobile Number, and Email. If needed, tick the tax invoice checkbox. Choose your Payment Method, either Pay with Peach Payments (accepting Mastercard, Visa, and EFT for all major South African banks) or Money Market Account (existing account required). Make sure to tick both checkboxes — agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and confirming that you’ve checked the date and time of your tickets — then click "Continue to Payment" to complete your booking. This final step secures your flight and ensures you receive all necessary confirmations.
