What Happens If a Customer Misses Their Flight?
If a customer does not arrive at the airport in time for departure, the airline marks the booking as a No Show.
Once a ticket is marked as a No Show:
- The ticket may no longer be valid for travel
- The booking may not be amended
- The ticket is often non-refundable
- Remaining flights in the booking may be cancelled automatically
This depends on the airline and the fare rules of the ticket.
Can the Ticket Be Reused?
In most cases:
- Changes are not permitted
- Refunds are not available
- A new ticket must be purchased
Some airlines may allow reinstatement for a fee, subject to airline approval.

Suggested Customer Response
You may advise the customer:
As you did not present at the airport in time for your scheduled flight, the airline has marked your booking as a no-show. Unfortunately, this means the ticket may no longer be valid for travel and changes or refunds are typically not permitted.
We would be happy to assist in checking availability on the next available flight should you wish to proceed with a new booking.
